1. INTRODUCTION

LocalAI Media Network Private Limited ("we", "us", "LocalAI") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, share, and protect your information when you use LocalAI / AI News Network.

3. ACCOUNT INFORMATION

When you register, we collect your name, mobile number, email, state, and constituency. This information is used for authentication, content attribution, and contact.

4. UPLOADED CONTENT

Content you upload — text, photos, videos, audio, URLs, and proof documents — is stored on our servers for moderation, verification, AI processing, and publishing purposes. You retain ownership of your original content as per our Terms & Conditions.

5. LOCATION INFORMATION

We collect location only when you explicitly request location-based features (e.g., finding local news, selecting your constituency). We do not track your location in the background.

6. DEVICE AND USAGE INFORMATION

We collect device model, OS version, app version, language, screens viewed, time spent, and content interactions (anonymized) to improve the platform and detect abuse.

7. PAYMENT AND PAYOUT INFORMATION

We do not collect UPI IDs or bank account details from all users and never request them during registration.

A UPI ID is collected only from users participating in our Referral Program who have earned a referral reward and choose to request a withdrawal. This information is used solely to transfer the earned reward to the user.

When you make a payment to us (for example, for advertising or other paid services), we may collect payment-related information such as the UPI transaction reference number (UTR) or other payment confirmation details required to verify the transaction.

We use this information only to process payments or payouts, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud, comply with applicable laws, and meet accounting and tax obligations. This information is shared only with payment service providers or financial institutions involved in processing the transaction. We do not sell or use this information for advertising purposes, and we retain it only for as long as necessary to complete the transaction and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

8. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND DIAGNOSTICS

We may use cookies, analytics tools, and crash diagnostics to understand app usage, fix bugs, and improve features.

9. AI PROCESSING DISCLOSURE

Some uploaded content may be processed using AI systems to assist with transcription, translation, summarization, categorization, moderation, verification support, and news workflow automation. AI output may be reviewed by authorized human/admin teams before publication or action.

Content uploaded by users may be reviewed by automated systems and/or our editorial/moderation team for accuracy, safety, policy compliance, and legal compliance before publication. We may delay, edit, or decline to publish content that does not meet our standards.

12. SHARING OF INFORMATION

LocalAI may use third-party services for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, diagnostics, AI processing, payment processing, notifications, email, SMS, WhatsApp, moderation, and operational workflows. These providers are bound by data processing agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

13. DATA RETENTION

We retain your data only as long as needed for the purposes stated in this policy or as required by applicable law (including for compliance, security, fraud prevention, grievance handling, and legal obligations).

14. DATA CORRECTION AND DELETION

You may request correction or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@localaitv.com or using in-app account deletion.

15. ACCOUNT DELETION

You can delete your account from inside the app at: Profile → Settings → Privacy & Account → Delete Account.

Deleting your account will remove your profile and personal data from LocalAI, except information we are legally required to retain for compliance, security, fraud prevention, grievance handling, or legal obligations.

16. SECURITY

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), access controls, and regular security audits to protect your data. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users in line with applicable law.

17. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

LocalAI is not intended for children under 18. We require verifiable parental consent before processing data of minors. Parents may request deletion at any time.

19. YOUTUBE AND THE YOUTUBE API

We publish our news bulletins to YouTube channels that we own and operate. To do that, our publishing system uses YouTube API Services. By using LocalAI TV you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, which you can read at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms

What we do with the YouTube API

We use it for one purpose: to upload our own bulletins to our own channels, and to set the title, description and thumbnail on them. We do not use it to read, collect, index or analyse anyone else’s YouTube data, and we do not ask you to connect your own YouTube or Google account to LocalAI TV. Nothing about your personal YouTube account, your subscriptions or your watch history reaches us.

The only credential involved is our own. It belongs to the Google account that owns our channels, and it is stored on our servers, encrypted and restricted to the staff who operate the publishing system.

What we store, and for how long

Where our system holds data returned by the YouTube API — the video IDs and publication timestamps of bulletins we have uploaded — we refresh or delete it at least every thirty days, as YouTube’s Developer Policies require.

Withdrawing access

If you have at any point granted an application access to your Google account, you can see the list and remove any of them at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions — that page is controlled by Google, not by us, and removing access there takes effect immediately.

Watching our channels

When you watch one of our live channels inside the LocalAI TV app or on localaitv.com, the video is served by YouTube. YouTube receives that request directly, in the same way it would on any website that embeds a video, and what YouTube does with it is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy linked above.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

20. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the app or website. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance.

21. GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
